Anji – Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the app, website, and any related features, content, tools, or services made available through Anji.

By creating an account, accessing, or using Anji, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

You also confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

2. Nature of the Service

Anji is a digital wellbeing companion that may provide reflective, informational, motivational, spiritual, or AI-generated support content.

The service is designed for general wellbeing and self-reflection only. It is not a medical service, healthcare provider, emergency service, crisis line, licensed therapist, legal adviser, or financial adviser.

Any content provided through the service is for general informational and personal use purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or pastoral care.

3. Eligibility and Appropriate Use

You must be at least the minimum age required to use digital services in your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian, where required by law.

You may use Anji only for lawful, personal, and non-abusive purposes.

4. Account Responsibility

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity carried out through your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it reasonably up to date.

You must notify support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation or otherwise compromised.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes
• Attempt to exploit, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app, website, or underlying systems
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or abusive material
• Use the service to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm others
• Use automated methods to scrape, copy, or extract content at scale without permission
• Attempt to bypass access controls, subscriptions, payment flows, or usage limits
• Attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or exceed any applicable access tier, usage cap, message allowance, rate limit, fair use restriction, or other service limit
• Use AI outputs as the sole basis for high-risk personal, medical, legal, financial, or safeguarding decisions

6. AI-Generated Content

Some features may generate responses using artificial intelligence. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.

You are responsible for using judgement before acting on any AI-generated content. You should seek qualified professional support where appropriate.

The service does not guarantee that AI responses will always be available, accurate, safe, or fit for a particular purpose.

7. Health, Crisis, and Emergency Disclaimer

Anji is not intended for crisis intervention or emergency response.

If you may be at risk of harming yourself or others, or if you are in danger, do not rely on the service. Contact local emergency services, a crisis line, or a qualified professional immediately.

The app may display crisis support messaging or encourage you to seek human help, but this does not create any duty to monitor, detect, prevent, or respond to emergencies in real time.

8. Access Tiers, Subscriptions, Billing, and Digital Purchases

Certain features or levels of access may be made available on a free-use basis, while other features or continued use may require a paid subscription, in-app purchase, or other form of payment.

Free access may be subject to usage caps, message allowances, feature restrictions, rate limits, or other quantitative or qualitative limits, as determined and updated from time to time. Once any applicable free-use threshold has been reached, further access to some or all features may be restricted unless you subscribe to a paid plan or otherwise obtain eligible access.

Paid plans may also be subject to fair use rules, usage caps, message allowances, rate limits, or other operational limits where reasonably necessary to maintain service quality, platform integrity, security, system performance, abuse prevention, or sustainable access for all users. Any such limits may be applied, modified, or enforced from time to time in accordance with the service documentation, in-app notices, or the applicable plan description.

Where purchases are made through a third-party app store or payment platform, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment terms may also be subject to that third party’s rules and policies. Subscriptions made through iOS are managed by Apple through the Apple App Store, and subscriptions made through Android are managed through Google Play. By subscribing through Apple, you also agree to Apple’s applicable terms and conditions, including its standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at Apple’s Terms of Use. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled by you through the relevant platform, and you remain responsible for managing your subscription settings and monitoring your usage against any applicable limits.

9. Availability and Changes to the Service

The service is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

Features may change, be suspended, be restricted, or be removed at any time, including for maintenance, updates, security reasons, legal reasons, or product improvements.

Access to features may depend on your account status, subscription tier, region, device compatibility, operational constraints, and any applicable usage or fair use limits. Certain features may become unavailable or restricted once such limits have been reached.

No guarantee is given that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with all devices, or continuously available.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the app, website, branding, software, design, text, graphics, functionality, and service content remain reserved.

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not copy, modify, distribute, resell, license, or create derivative works from the service except where permitted by applicable law.

11. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit or create within the service, subject to any rights necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service in line with the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit is lawful and does not infringe the rights of others.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, infringing, sexually exploitative, hateful, or otherwise harmful.

12. Suspension and Termination

Access to the service may be suspended, restricted, or terminated at any time if it is reasonably believed that you have breached these Terms, created risk, misused the service, or where suspension is necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons.

You may stop using the service at any time. Any provisions which by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without any warranties, representations, or guarantees, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.

No statement within the service creates any warranty unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss or damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, profits, revenue, business, opportunity, or anticipated savings arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the service, its operators, affiliates, suppliers, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

Those third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and no responsibility is accepted for their content, availability, conduct, or practices.
